The sad truth of life as a human is that the world gets worse, and good at the same time. We have it better than past generations in some ways, but not in others. Every generation says that the past was better, there are sayings for this like “the good old days” its not just my generation, or the one before me (my parents were born in the 50s, Im 44 now) is every generation, ever, backwards and also forward. Gen Z will talk about the good old days aswell, their good old days, and they are going to remember this crappy time we’re living as great “remember when GTA6 came out?”, “remember COVID?”, “remember WOW?”- I dont know what Im trying to say, but I will say that the biggest change in human history was the invention of the Internet, not even AI, because even tho AI is fucking incredible, is expected, we are not that amused by it, now everything is “possible” even flying cars, so theres no awe. the internet was the point that separated humanity into 2 blocks, before and after the internet is kind of saying BCE or something now. I guess Im glad I was born in 1982, I grew up watching the world change inmensly, and it will keep changing for the worse and the good at the same time in every generation, that is the sad part, should be just good.
